Ghost Ranch Activities

Ticket holders will receive links in their ticket confirmation email that allow access to purchase Ghost Ranch activities (tours and trail rides listed below) and tours at Georgia O’Keeffe’s home and studio. VIP area and dining experiences are available on the ticketing page.

From outdoor adventures around Abiqiui to free on-site experiences at Ghost Ranch, here are ideas and options for even more festival fun.

Join us for an extraordinary 4-course lunch that showcases the best of New Mexico’s summer flavors. Chefs Marijke Uleman and Marja Martin have created a menu that celebrates the season’s finest ingredients, expertly paired with local Gruet wine and handcrafted beverages.   • What the Truck: breakfast burritos, street tacos with vegan options, and vegan power bowls. Open for breakfast Friday–Sunday; lunch and dinner Friday and Saturday.

Bread Baking with Florence “Flo” Yepa
THURS–FRI AT GHOST RANCH

Join local baker Florence “Flo” Yepa for breadmaking at the Ranch. Participants meet Thursday night after the concert to mix the dough. Then on Friday at 9 am the dough is rolled out and baked in the horno oven. Limited space, sign up on site.

Monastery of Christ in the Desert
17.5 MI FROM GHOST RANCH

A scenic drive through the Chama Wilderness leads you to the Monastery of Christ in the Desert. Surrounded by miles of protected wilderness land, the monastery was designed by George Nakashima, the famous Japanese-American woodworker and designer.

Movement & Experiences at the Ranch

LIVE MUSIC YOGA WITH ELISAPIE

Close out the festival with live music yoga! Inuk singer Elisapie will perform a beautiful concert on stage while yoga teacher Emily Branden leads a flow on the lawn. Unlimited space, no registration necessary. Bring your own mat.

SOUND BATHS

Brian Dickinson from Sonic Alchemy will host free sound baths following the morning yoga session on Saturday on the lawn, as well as in the Ghost Ranch Yurt on Friday and Saturday at 1 pm. While the Saturday lawn session has unlimited space, the yurt sessions hold a max of 25 people and require registering when on-site. Bring something soft to sit on.

Join Peter Lipscomb of Astronomy Adventures to watch views of star clusters, nebulae, distant galaxies, the Moon, and Planet Saturn.

SWIMMING POOL

Yep, there’s a pool at Ghost Ranch! Take a dip or lounge poolside before the concert. First come first served, limited space. Kids welcome! 


Hikes & Outdoor Adventures

CHIMNEY ROCK HIKE
AT GHOST RANCH

This easy 2.5 mile out-and-back trail is accessible from Ghost Ranch and leads to spectacular vistas of the Chimney Rock and the surrounding landscape. One of New Mexico’s best!

A bit more challenging than Chimney Rock, this 3.8 mile out-and-back trail is accessible from Ghost Ranch. One of New Mexico’s most iconic hikes, Kitchen Mesa boasts stellar views of the whole festival ground and beyond.

Swim, hike, and play at Abiquiu Lake. A 15-minute drive from Ghost Ranch. Some areas require camping reservations, but others are free for day use.

Continental Divide Trail
MULTIPLE ACCESS POINTS

The epic Continental Divide National Scenic Trail crosses five states, 100 miles of which are in the Carson National Forest from Rio Chama and up the New Mexico/Colorado border.

MULTIPLE ACCESS POINTS

The Rio Chama winds through the landscape O’Keeffe painted, passing through canyons and pine forests. It’s a great place for camping, floating, and kayaking. Various companies including New Mexico River Adventures and New Wave Rafting book guided rafting tours.

Come shop goods from Northern New Mexico artists, makers, and vendors at the Ranch. 

High Noon General Store

Santa Fe shop High Noon will have a special tent at the Ranch with curated goods and all the festival provisions you’ll need!
